Hi folks. If you're here its either because you visited my Ernie Kovacs Tribute Site, or because you got here through my other blogs GEOMOP or The Jazz Guitar Corner.

Some folks who are regular readers of my Ernie site suggested that I start a blog so they can post comments. I probably will not be posting articles here; I'll just put them on the main site.

However, you can post comments about Ernie here whenever you like, questions, whatever you want that has to do with the great Kovacs. I'll answer them and get involved in the discussion. Occasionally I will start new topic threads to get people talking about Ernie. There is a link in the left column which you can click to learn how to post comments and the rules for doing so.

If you'd like to write an actual article about Ernie and have it posted here go to http://www.erniekovacs.net/ and contact me. Tell me what you want to write about and if I approve it you can send it to me and then I'll format it and post it here. You will get credit and be contributing to the memory of a television comic legend.

Folks, please limit your comments here to those about Ernie Kovacs or at least to TV or the era.

As mentioned above all comments are moderated and nonsense will be deleted. Abusive comments will not be posted and comments not relating to Ernie Kovacs will be deleted.

Be nice to anyone who posts here. Ernie fans are great people and they all mean well!

Thanks for stopping by. It's been real!

Ernie Kovacs was a genius and way ahead of his time. I remember laughing my head off as a kid as my father and I watched his show. The things he did on that show editing-wise was so incredible when you remember that TV was still in it's embryonic stage. Without Ernie, many other performers and directors probably wouldn't have been so inspired. The last time I saw him was in 'It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World' with his wife, Edie Adams. What a truly funny man! It's nice to see people like you, Al, that still remember his good name in a world where people have such short memories.

Al, I just wanted to correct myself when I said that the last time that I saw Ernie was in 'It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.' I was wrong. He was already gone by then. Sorry about that. If you ever want to come to one of my shows, let me know. The ticket will be on me. www.comedytornado.com/tour.htm My schedule is on there and I ploay in your area and North Jersey quite a lot. Paul

Thanks for the great post. Glad you corrected yourself; it was actually Sid Caesar who was in "Its A Mad, Mad, Mad World" with Edie.

Good luck with the gigs. I'll check to see when you're in my area. Looks like you play guitar too. So do I and also have a jazz guitar blog, http://jazzguitarcorner.blogspot.com

Just noticed the guitar is a Godin. I had never heard of those before last year and have since been to the site many times. They look like great instruments.
